ELC UK represents an award-winning educational group, providing high-quality language courses for junior learners. Offering children and teenagers aged 8 to 17 the opportunity to combine learning English with sports, activities and visits to exciting places. In addition to general English, some schools also offer exam preparation, including IELTS and Trinity exam courses.
Junior Schools and colleges are located throughout the UK in the beautiful counties of West Sussex, Gloucestershire, Surrey, East Sussex, Oxfordshire and Dorset, close to both cities and the English countryside, with some schools located on the coast near traditional English seaside towns.
Schools ensure to provide students with a supportive and caring environment in which to study and explore the UK, in what is sure to be a memorable experience. Courses run though the Easter and Summer holidays with organised group courses possible through the entire year with some schools. Courses are for a minimum of one week during Easter and two weeks during the summer. Classes are always small with a maximum of 15 students, enabling teachers to focus on individual aims and interests. Students receive a workbook where they can keep a record of work done in class with additional course materials provided.
General English plus Sports and Creativity
Students can complement their course with a range of exciting sports and creative activities to choose from. Water sports including; sailing, kayaking, raft building, as well as, tennis, horse riding, golf, and football, offer students exciting and team building experiences. Some schools also offer the use of sports halls, fields and swimming pools that can be used for organised team games and activities. For more creative activities choose from creative design, aimed at students with a specific interest in web design, motion graphics and film or an English course combined with performing arts, for students with a passion for drama, music and dance.
For parents who would like to take the opportunity to study English alongside their children, a family programme is available in Gloucestershire. Parents are taught separately in adult classes during the mornings while their children follow the junior programme of lessons. A variety of family excursions to London, Bath, Cardiff, Stratford-Upon-Avon and other exciting places are available for a small additional charge. As well as the fully supervised junior activity programme that children are recommended to take part in during the afternoons, which leaves parents free to explore the beautiful towns and cities in the area. Choose to be accommodated as a family in holiday homes, hotels or a bed and breakfast, or if you prefer on the college grounds in separate adult and junior accommodation.
